2025 PJ Library International Conference
ABOUT THE EVENT
PJ Library is excited to welcome you to our 2025 International Conference: Mirrors & Windows!
PJ Library is rooted in the power of stories, and our hope is that families everywhere experience our books as both mirrors and windows into Jewish life. Stories that reflect families' experiences affirm identity and belonging because representation matters. At the same time, stories that offer glimpses into different customs, traditions, and cultures inspire curiosity and learning.
At this year’s conference, we invite you to step into the story! Peer into mirrors to explore how colleagues in other communities engage families and build connections in ways that resonate with your own work. Look through windows to discover diverse best practices and creative engagement strategies that might differ from your own but could enrich your approach.
Our time together will center on PJ Library stories: stories that bridge Jewish families and communities across the globe. Like Yosef and Estrella in the PJ Library book The Mountain Jews and the Mirror, we encourage you to reflect on and share what is familiar and effective in your own practices, while also embracing the opportunity to learn from the innovative ideas of others. As Shimon Ben Zoma said, “Who is wise? The one who learns from everyone.” (Pirkei Avot 4:1)
Throughout this year’s PJ Library International Conference, we hope you will connect deeply—through both formal sessions and informal networking—with your peer kehilla (community). Together, we will strengthen the ways we support families and foster vibrant Jewish life in our home communities. Come ready to reflect, share, and expand your horizons as we embark on this shared journey of discovery and growth.
We are counting down the days until we gather for the 2025 PJ Library International Conference!
